In the third week of June, yacht owners and charterers are preparing to take part in a unique four-day event presented by Boat International in association with SYBAss, the Superyacht Builders Association. A full progamme of events at sea and on shore includes fashion shows, chef and cocktail competitions, and a range of entertainment and hospitality on board the host yacht.
The elite gathering kicks off with a welcome cocktail & Yacht Hop on Thursday 21 June at the Quai des Étas-Unis, with live music along the quayside and first-class cuisine prepared by Relais & Châteaux chefs from the region. The following day, the Rendezvous yachts cruise in company to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, dropping anchor at the Paloma Beach restaurant to enjoy a day of fun and watersports at the beach, with its with stunning views over Beaulieu and Cap d’Ail.
Back on shore, the beautiful Monte Carlo Opera is the Friday evening setting for the centrepiece of the programme. The third annual ShowBoats Design Awards will honour the industry’s leading creative talents at a gala evening, with prizes awarded for the best examples of naval architecture and interior design, as well as Technology, Environmental Protection, and Best Newcomer.
On Saturday 23 June, the yachts leave port on an evening cruise to Cap d’Antibes for the legendary Diamonds & White Party, where fine food and dancing takes place into the early hours before the yachts return to Monaco by starlight. Among the yachts participating in this year’s event are Heesen’s 50m Satori, Hakvoort’s 39m SnowbirD, and Trinity’s 50m Norwegian Queen

Thursday 21 June
Owner’s Lunch
The owners of the participating yachts are invited to attend a private luncheon at the Yacht Club de Monaco, hosted by Bernard d’Alessandri, Secretary General.
Champagne Welcome Cocktail
The Rendezvous in Monaco welcomes guests to the Principality with a Champagne Welcome Cocktail at the Quai des Etats-Unis of the Port Hercule.
Rendezvous Yacht Hop
The evening continues all along the Quai des Etats-Unis as guests enjoy champagne, fine food and live music while strolling from one fabulous yacht in the line up to the other. Yachts participating in the Yacht Hop welcome neighbouring owners and other Rendezvous guests on board for drinks, canapés and hospitality in the true yachting tradition.
Cooking with Celebrity Chefs
Superyacht owners will have the unique opportunity to play Sous-Chef to celebrity chefs from the Relais & Châteaux Group, who will prepare some of their signature dishes onboard yachts in the Rendezvous line up. Rendezvous guests will then have the chance to sample their delicious cuisine during the Yacht Hop.
Rendezvous Cocktail Competition
The mixology skills of bartending crewskills will be put to the test at the second annual Rendezvous Cocktail Competition. Entrants will be required to create a cocktail and discuss with the judges the inspiration behind their creation. An expert panel will judge the contenders on their mixing skills, confidence, presentation and of course, the taste of the final result. Owners are encouraged to nominate their bartenders for the competition and guests participating in the Yacht Hop will have the opportunity to sample their delicious cocktail creations.
Friday 22 June
Cruise in Company
The participating yachts leave the Port to cruise, taking in some of the most picturesque views of the Mediterranean to Saint Jean Cap Ferrat.
Beach Luncheon at Paloma Beach
Guests will tender to the Paloma Beach for a private luncheon of fresh Mediterranean produce on an exclusive private beach. Water sports and activities will be on offer throughout the afternoon.
ShowBoats Design Awards 2012
Guests of The Rendezvous and the industry’s leading creative talents will join us in celebrating excellence in yacht design at a prize giving, to be held at the Monaco Opera House. Rendezvous Chefs’ Competition
Chefs cooking on board superyachts have made cooking in the confines of the space available high art, and we honour their talents with the second annual Rendezvous Chefs’ Competition. Each participating chef will be given the same produce and a set time to create a dish to be judged by Michelin star chefs. Owners are encouraged to nominate their chefs for the competition.
Fun on the Water
Owners are encouraged to take to the water and make the most of their yachts and toys during a fun filled afternoon around the Port of Monaco. For those keen to indulge in some friendly competition, the Yacht Club de Monaco have organised a 007-style water-borne game of poker finishing at the Host Yacht, where guests will enjoy celebratory drinks and canapés.
Evening Cruise in Company
As the sun falls over Port Hercule, participating yachts will leave the port to cruise under twilight to the picturesque Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel.
Diamonds & White Party
Guests are invited to wear white for the annual Diamonds & White Party at Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel, the final destination of the Twilight Cruise. Rendezvous guests will tender to shore to enjoy delicious food courtesy of the Michelin-starred restaurant, live music and dancing on the beach into the early hours.

Farewell Brunch & Prize Giving
The Rendezvous in Monaco invites all guests to the Yacht Club de Monaco for a farewell brunch. Whilst guests enjoy a relaxed Sunday brunch buffet, the winners of the various competitions held during the event will be recognized in an informal prize giving.
