I was delighted when Gorgeous Couture sent me this beautifully designed package in the post, inside was a long and white Swarovski embellished dress perfect for any Red Carpet affair and just in time for the Cannes Film Festival Season! I took Max who you will remember from my recent Rolex Masters article (Here) to Cannes with me for a fun filled day of Gifting, Style Suites and Beauty Salon at the Hollywood Boudoir Villa which I will update you on momentarily. Followed by a chauffeur driven ride over to the Hotel Majestic Barriere on the Croisette for the Fashion TV Red Carpet Lounge and their 16th Year Anniversary party that I was invited to.

My jewellery and makeup was kept minimal with a simple diamante snake ring, smokey eye, Cheryl Cole lashes and nude lip. I paired my beautiful new dress with my favourite Logan Jimmy Choo glitter pumps and my hair and makeup was done by the talented girls from LEXCLUSIF at the Hollywood Boudoir prior.

We arrived to the hotel immediately greeted by paparazzi and girls dressed in gold lame ensembles holding Liquid Gold bottles. After being ushered up onto the main terrace overlooking the Red Carpet at the Palais des Festivals, we were offered glasses of champagne while we caught up and met some new and famous faces.

I caught up with my dear friend and talented actor Vincent De Paul who you may remember from my recent trip to New York where we walked the AZ Araujo runway together during Fashion Week (here) and met the charming Lucien Laviscount (British actor & singer).

There was live music followed by lots of very funny interviews with Fashion TV, I will add the interview once they upload it to their YouTube channel. I really can’t wait to watch it because it was such a laugh and I was so excited to interview again with Fashion TV. (You can find my 1st video interview here)

I was greeted on the rooftop of the hotel by friendly faces and the stunning views of an overflow swimming pool and the Cannes seaside glistening in the background. I sat to enjoy a cold drink while admiring 3.14 latest addition to their restaurant, circular glass tables with plancha embedded in the centre so that you can cook your own lunch with friends or have the lovely chef come over and cook it right in front of you. I headed over to the Chef’s table to watch him prepare some delicious skewers, fresh vegetables and jacket potato.

I wondered around the pool planning my next trip down to Cannes, this time with my bikini! and discovered a jacuzzi overlooking the Croisette and the horizon… I chatted to another Sophie there from Instinct De Com and found out about 3.14′s Film Festival program and the weekly pool parties held on the rooftop every Sunday with multiple DJ sets and decided I couldn’t keep this all to myself!

I will be heading back there very soon to properly experience 3.14′s life by the seaside and their infamous pool parties I have now heard so much about.  You should all come too! I may just secretly sneak down to Cannes and hide away there for a few days! shh….

They also have a lovely beach in front of the hotel perfect to go to in the morning for a swim and then spend the rest of the afternoon and evening on the rooftop poolside.

I am heading back to Cannes Friday night for a film launch party and Monday too for a red carpet event, I have all of my outfits already planned so watch out for those coming soon to the blog, I really cannot wait there is something so special about Cannes this time of year!

Cosmopolitan boasts a variety of international dishes from Mediterranean seafood to Asian dishes too the choices are endless and after hearing such great things from close friends I was quick to invite my lovely mummy Mandy along for a girly treat. She also has one of the best palette’s in the family after dining at some of the best restaurants around the world so if someone is going to help me critique while having a girly gossip its her!

I wasn’t in the mood to get completely dolled up so went for a chic but casual look pairing my distressed jeans with a silk white shirt, sequin clutch, gold accessories and tottered out the door in my favourite yellow Missoni wedges. We arrived to a buzzing and busy atmosphere at Cosmopolitan and were greeted and seated inside. A modern contemporary decor surrounded us, wooden floors and details with fun food themed American artwork dotted about the walls.

After choosing some Summer inspired cocktails we took to the entree menu and were treated to an assortiment of starters which was perfect because I secretly wanted to try all of them anyway!

The food arrived colourful and fresh, deep fried calamari with tartare sauce, some homemade springrolls with sweet chilli sauce, creamy Italian ’burrata’ served with thinly sliced parma ham & cherry tomatoes dressed in a homemade basil oil and an aromatic crab salad with asparagus, rocket & mango coulis. Everything was delicious but I have a deep weakness for crispy calamari so I would go back just them!

My mother chose a lovely looking salmon ‘teriyaki’ with white rice & vegetables while I went for a something off the Plat du Jour menu beside us, a Ravioli special with foie gras and mushroom sauce. Not the lightest of dishes I must admit but it was utter bliss I can assure you…

After dinner we sat back in our chairs completely satisfied while sipping our coffees and nibbling biscuits which we really shouldn’t have been nibbling… And by Italian tradition a  couple of Limoncello shots were delicately placed in front of us to end the meal, you have got to love the Italians…

Also something for all of you wine lovers out there, every Wednesday evening if you buy 1 exclusive bottle of wine the 2nd is half price!

Just a 2 minute walk from the main Casino, Fairmont Hotel and Monaco’s Larvotto beaches makes Cosmopolitan the perfect place to have a quick and light business lunch or a deliciously tasty and ambient dinner before heading out to the clubs…

Flirty Florals My Spring wardrobe is in full throttle ahead at the moment, this week has been blissfully warm and sunny that the feeling of wearing dresses has completely overwhelmed me and I can’t leave wearing anything else, I am also hoping that my legs will get a bit more tanned in the meantime!

I don’t wear pink very often as I tend to shy away from it because I have very blonde hair and pink is a very feminine colour but I loved this outerwear style dress with zip pockets, collar and tie up detail around the waist similar to a trench coat. I paired it with a floral pink Catalina handbag, matching monogram Louis Vuitton platforms from the same collection and a pair of blush nude sunglasses for a peaceful stroll around the Casino Gardens and Square.

Top Marques the amazing super car show is happening right now in Monaco so I will upload some photos for you all soon, have a lovely weekend!

Out!I had such a lovely day out at the Rolex Masters at the kind invitation of my friend Max, founder of BIC.MC, the local problem solving company that is very active and well connected within Monaco. The marketing consulting firm is designed to bring new brands and companies to Monaco but also helps local companies to expand into Germany (Max is the brand ambassador for the Monaco International Clubbing Show MICS). Additionally BIC.MC can also sort you out with tickets and invitations for most of the sold out events in Monaco you are looking to attend last minute.

The sun was shining, the perfect day to watch some competitive tennis and take in the sights. R. Paire and R. Gasquet played a great match with a good win by Paire who actually used to train here locally as a young boy.

After the match we casually walked around the country club shopping village browsing the Rolex watches, oversized tennis balls and mixed with other tennis players and their over excited fans. Since the weather was so perfect we headed up to the Vista Palace hotel in Max’s new electric Twizy to take some photos of the views over Monaco and the Masters…

Sequins! As I was also on the hunt for the perfect Summer dress this week I came across this beauty during my cheeky trip to the Louis Vuitton shop here in Monaco, completely covered in delicate white sequins, with a timeless cut and patch detailing on the front it was love at first sight… This dress has a really flattering and classic shape with tailored slim short sleeves which give a more toned and longer arm effect. I looked to pair it with black and white accessories for that perfect monochrome look that I have been searching for.

I found this stunning black and white checked evening purse which will go with almost everything in my wardrobe! These very demure black patent platform peeptoe pumps (try saying that when you have had a glass of bubbly!) with adorable Louis V locks on the backs which another lady saw on me and had to try on too! One of the girls ran to find me the perfect last addition to complete the outfit, a black sequin bow headband which in my opinion took the outfit to the next level.

Shopping Day! I was so happy this morning when I woke to the blinding sun reflecting all of the white yachts glistening in front of me. It gave me inspiration to get dressed up and go shopping with the girls to find the perfect Summer outfits. We found ourselves in Louis Vuitton and filled the changing rooms with our favourites from their latest arrivals.

I am completely in love with blue shades at the moment, I love the way the colour compliments my skin tone and blonde hair. From electric cobalt tones to sky blue pastels it is finally the Season to wear azur blue ensembles along the Riviera.

I chose this dress as its the perfect combination of cool and feminine, with a blouse like cut and frill detailing below the collar its perfect for days out on the boat and watching the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix from the balcony. One of my favourite things about it are the pockets! I have a thing about dresses with pockets and this design has blue and white stripes along the lining of the pockets and along the collar. I paired it with matching handbag, pointed heels and these Jackie O inspired sunglasses.

Ciao! Diego and I took a last minute road trip to Verona in Italy this week, I had never been before and it was the perfect time to get away a bit and have some time to ourselves after a busy last few weeks. I love the feeling of being a tourist walking around a new city without a care in the world and discovering new wonders and tasting locals delicacies.

Verona is extremely cultured and actually one of the main tourist spots in Italy, of course we all know Verona from Shakespeare’s famous plays specifically Romeo and Juliet. I didn’t know this but Verona has actually been named a UNESCO world heritage site because of the value and importance of its many historical buildings. Everywhere we drove there were turrets, castles and forts all very picturesque.

We stayed in a beautiful little italian hotel in Bardolino by Lake Garda, as soon as we arrived we dropped off our bags in the room, freshened up and headed straight back out to discover the town we had travelled 4 and 1/2 hours to get to. We walked lakeside to the centre of town passing little jetties to swim and sunbathe on during the Summer, lots of friendly ducks and traditional boats in every colour. (Edit I found the photo of the boats!)

The town was surprisingly modern, decorated and clean not at all what I was expecting as we discovered all the shops and pizzerias in the main Piazza. We sat down for some traditional Aperol Spritz’s & people watching and felt right at home in the similar Cafe de Paris atmosphere we were experiencing.

We’ve actually brought a little bit of Verona back with us as we found some Aperol in the shops and bought some delicious Prosecco to accompany it. It is a really easy drink to make actually, just fill a large wine glass with ice cubes, pour 2/3 white wine Prosecco, followed by 1/3 Aperol and a large slice of orange è finito!

The following day we headed down to breakfast for cappuccino’s and croissants and jumped straight into the car towards the national wine expo in the centre of Verona. It was an extremely vast area with large marques each holding wines from all over the country for us to try! From Tuscany to Sicily it was such an experience trying lots of different wines and proseccos and meeting lots of interesting people too. I even met a gentleman from London who makes wines using natural methods and horses creating wines without sulfates or unnatural chemicals who invited us to his beautiful Castello in Italy.

After a very happy couple of hours… we tried some tortellini, meats and cheeses before heading back to the car to the city of Verona for a little walk around. The weather did not hold out for long so I had to put my trainers on for our little tour around the main Piazza Bra which is thought to be the largest Piazza in the country. Famous for the Arena di Verona a very large amphitheatre from over 2000 years ago located in the centre which is now used to hold large scale Opera perfomances which I can imagine must be sensational.

The architecture was stunning with a real feeling of history within it, surrounded by cafes, shops and restaurants we stopped for a snack and ran back to the car before our feet got too wet. It was a shame we couldn’t walk around longer but we were happy we had a least seen some of the main city before heading back to our hotel by the lake.

It’s quite incredible how different the local food is there, with Italy just 20 minutes from  the border of Monaco, the pasta and pizza that you eat in Italy is vastly different in quality even the Cappuccinos are finer and tastier, I have never understood it. Don’t get me wrong you can eat very well in Monaco, some of the best food I have tried has been eaten here in the Principality but the typical pizzeria or pasta that you order in a small restaurant is nothing compared to something you may find half an hour away just over the border… That’s what makes Italy so special and visited on regular occasions and of course to improve my Italian, getting there slowly but surely!

I have to admit that I have a very embarrassingly large collection of scarves, I seem to pick them up wherever I go be it on my travels abroad or at random occasions, they deserve their own post really but there is a reason behind it. A scarf can completely change and accessorize any outfit. Not only are they great for their practicality but you can get a lot of wear out of one scarf purely through your imagination. I love to change it up and accessorize them differently even by adding one to a hangbag or just by changing the way you where it…

A simple change to my new MAH scarf but a fun one, easy to do, it just takes practice, creativity and in a few seconds you have completely a different look.

I paired my dress with matching diamante clutch and heels by LeSilla and added a bit more sparkle with silver earrings and silver and bronze stacked bracelets. All I need now is a red carpet!

Pairing this amazing electric blue sandal with a two toned silk dress is an effortless match made in heaven, this dress has a very luxurious yet comfortable feel to it while combining silk in the top and a stretchy material in the skirt it can be worn from day to night. The black paneling actually acts as an optical illusion creating the illusion of a more hourglass figure (Bonus!)

I paired my dress with flat sandals for a more daytime look but it could easily be dressed up with high heels or wedges. These sandals are so beautiful with electric blue and jewel detailing they make your feet look so dainty and add that extra bit of needed sparkle to any outfit.

We paired the boots with a tight black dress and (extremely heavy) studded leather jacket I think it turned out to be a cool edgy outfit and the boots I ended up loving because of the Swarovski diamante detailing and tighter fit than your average chunky biker boot. I have quite narrow ankles as well so I was quite surprised that they didn’t look too big on my leg.

These Rangers are great boots, worn with a simple pair of jeans, denim shorts or for a more feminine look pair with a mini skirt, the perfect boots to go from Winter to Spring in.

I have been a bit quiet these last few days as I decided to take some time for myself after a very busy last few weeks. I have some very big decisions to make at the moment and since it was my Birthday I took the opportunity to spend time with Diego and my friends to let off some steam and evaluate. I cannot go into more detail as these are private matters that cannot be communicated via the blog I hope you understand , however you may see some changes over the next few months.

Back to the fun stuff! Diego took me out for some Birthday drinks and surprised me with all my friends at the new place to be in town Le Bar Du Quai. It is a lovely little outside bar part of the famous Quai des Artistes located in the main port right on the Grand Prix circuit. Quai des Artistes is a restaurant best known for its delicious oysters and sea food menu. The decor is very cosy with a certain Parisian feel to it and offers oyster trays, planche japonais, charcuterie, beverages and more, the perfect ambient corner for aperitifs before or after dinner.

Diego was also intrigued by the venue so I managed to drag him along with me as my date for the evening which turned out to be quite a beautiful one. We were greeted by security at the main entrance with guest lists and were quickly ushered up the stairs to the main “reception” area where waiters begged us to take their coupes de champagne and canapés.

After a couple of refills, some quick introduction speeches and a look at some of the beautiful art dotted about the walls of various Monaco royals we were led upstairs to the main offices. Each office was modestly adorned with red roses and open to discover jewelers who had their goods on display, I tried on a beautiful diamond encrusted Rolex worth €48,000 (a girl can dream, can’t she?), we tried lots of Russian delicacies but stuck to the champagne rather than the vodka on offer to us.

Diego scoped out the desert tray so we feasted on macaroons and the most amazing mini lemon meringues pies.

My mother and I had such a lovely trip to the big apple, it was my first time there and we were smack bang in the centre of our first ever New York Fashion Week!

We attended some amazing shows, I walked my first runway (in a bikini!!) and I was featured in a couple of photo shoots in Times Square and Lincoln Centre with a “Real Housewife” (here).

So it was definitely not the average tourist trip to the city but we did fit all of that in anyway! I didn’t manage to find a corn dog to try on the street but the hotdogs were pretty “sweet”, Victoria’s Secret never disappoints and you have got to love the Americans.

I believe in keeping your skin clean and fresh all year round whether you are up skiing in the Alps or sun tanning in St Tropez, its about feeling good on the insde and out and looking after your body. 

I thoroughly despise all moisturizers and body creams that leave your skin sticky and greasy for hours after application so I steer well clear of those and only choose the ones that leave your skin feeling soft and silky.

I love the Neutrogena body oil for the shower especially during the Winter, you can apply the product before the shower or even during and then wash it off before you get out so it has had time to soak into your skin without leaving any oily residue. Johnson’s and Palmer’s bath range are also among my favourites.

Used for its healing properties by Australian Aboriginal tribes hundreds of years ago, tea tree oil is now widely recognized as one of the best herbal weapons against acne. I love the smell of Body Shop’s tea tree range but the facial wash is my favourite and does exactly what it says.

While new products come and go, there’s nothing like an old favourite, E45 moisturises your skin wonderfully, it works by replacing lost moisture and forming a protective barrier. Cheryl Cole swears by it and after usually turning to it for extreme dryness I actually have started applying it more on a daily basis since its been working so well. You can pick it up in most drug stores starting at just £2!

I only recently discovered the Elizabeth Arden range after it was kindly given to me as a gift this month, after hearing so much about it I was excited to see what the fuss was all about. I happened to be in Switzerland at the time so what better time to try it out and in extreme conditions too! I applied it before skiing and it worked wonders, I am really impressed with the eight hour range.

PREPPING YOUR SKIN BEFORE APPLYING MAKEUP

I find that some makeup really dries out your skin unless you take proper care of it before application, you need to feed you skin with moisture and sun protection beforehand. This also allows the skin to feel nourished while adding that “glow” that we all crave.

BB cream can act as a primer on its own but I like a tinted one to even out my skin tone and which also has SPF in it too.

As a primer I like to use a silicon based gel before applying makeup, I use Bare Minerals Prime Time, a cheaper solution is Sephora’s own brand or you can go with a more luxury brand like Clé de Peau.

Primers are very lightweight, silicone-based and usually the best choice for acne-prone or oily skin. It doesn’t usually contain irritating ingredients and has the consistency of a smooth gel. Primer acts as a barrier between your makeup and your skin to prevent it harming your skin, whilst smoothing any lines or wrinkles you may have for a smoother application and end result after foundation.

You may also know that once a year I fly up to Switzerland with Diego to this little village called Villars high up in the Swiss Alps with its own ski resort and breathtaking surrounding views. It snowed pretty much the entire week except the last 2 days where I got the camera out and got a little snap happy. I got to see my favourite little beagle Troy and annoyed him no end with kisses, poor thing is probably delighted to be rid of me!

I always find packing for Winter holidays a struggle and just about made the silly Easy-jet 20kg weight limit by the skin of my teeth… I took my new Alpaca with me, far too many boots, various fur outerwear, winter coats and ski stuff so packing light was definitely out of the question!

Waking up at the crack of dawn to blizzard snowstorms is not my ideal motivation to get out of bed first thing so it was difficult but we tried to take advantage of the skiing whilst we were there and managed 3 ski sessions, 2 of which turned out to be sunny once at the peak thank goodness. I got the handy camera out on a couple of occasions to film some of the descents and mountainous views so I will put together a little clip to show you how beautiful this area is later this week.

Some days we ventured out of the snow fall and down to the valley for some shopping and other days were spent eating delicious Swiss chocolate, drinking wine and sprawled in front of the fireplace, I truly need one of these in my life!

Men seem to have a way with “forgetting” this holiday and the hype seems to scare them off but really women are very easy to please on this occasion and men are too!

Bake him some treats that will get his stomach saying “I Love You”! There are some great recipes I found on Pinterest, here is the recipe for my favourite (image centered above) that might just have to be tried! – found here

Ingredients

• 3 eggs
• 3/4 cup butter
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
• 2 1/4 cups sugar
• 1 1/2 tbsp. vanilla
• 2 tbsp. bottle red food coloring
• 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
• 1 1/2 tbsp. baking soda
• 1 1/2 tbsp. vinegar
• Small chocolate heart-shaped cookies (optional)
• Powdered sugar (optional)

Preparation

1. Let eggs and butter stand 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 175 degrees C. Line 28 5/6.5 cm cupcake pans with paper liners; set aside.

2. In medium bowl combine flour, cocoa powder, and 3/4 tsp. salt; set aside. In large mixing bowl beat butter on medium-high 30 seconds. Add sugar and vanilla; beat until combined. One at a time, add eggs; beat on medium after each. Beat in food coloring on low.

3. Alternately add flour mixture and buttermilk to egg mixture; beat on low to medium speed after each just until combined. Stir together baking soda and vinegar. Add to batter; beat just until combined.

4. Spoon batter into prepared pans, filling each about two-thirds full. Bake 15 to 17 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack for 5 minutes. Remove from pans. Cool completely. Top with small chocolate cookies, if desired. Dust with powdered sugar. Makes 28 servings.

The evening flowed with interviews, networking, tasty treats, bubbly and speeches from the general manager Timothy Williams and John Sheaffer, grandson of Walter Sheaffer the founding family!

                         Have you got any beauty, makeup, hair tips and stylish secrets?

I live by Moroccan oil, it is magical and transforms the ends of my hair and finishes it off perfectly after a blow dry by adding that extra bit of shine you need! I have also heard that if you apply Vaseline to sensitive areas of your feet before putting your high heels on you will not get blisters (I have yet to try this but it could be gold if it works).

                      What inspired you to start your own blog?

In the yachting world there is a huge lack of creativity involved, “Sophie In Monaco” was a way to release all of my pent up creativity and by doing so realised my passion for fashion (& blogging of course!).

                    What is the story behind your blog’s name?

Pretty boring actually, my name is Sophie and I live in Monaco! I wanted it to be simple yet memorable, since my blog is about my life in Monaco it just sort of went hand in hand.

                    Who usually takes your pictures?

Mostly my younger sister Sabrina who also has a blog and I help her out with her photos too. My boyfriend, friends and family all help out when they can too.

                     What are your dreams and aspirations?

I would love to be on Television, although I am more of an introvert I recently discovered my love at being in front of the camera having walked for swimwear designer AZ Araujo during New York Fashion Week. Further down the line my dream is to design my own shoes & handbags line.

                       What would you take with you on holiday?

If it were a sunny island I was disappearing off to I would take lots of bikinis! I like to wear a different one every day, along with my favourite beach cover ups, my yellow Missoni wedge sandals, lots of tinted moisturiser and my laptop so I can blog all about it!

                        Which celebrities most inspire you?

I look to style inspiration from Olivia Palermo, Miranda Kerr & Victoria Beckham, those women can dress!

                        What is the one item in your wardrobe you couldn’t live without?

My silver open toed Jimmy Choo’s. They were my first pair and instantly add sparkle & glam to any evening outfit. (They are also one of my most comfortable shoes, Bonus!)

                         A few things you really love about Monaco?

The sea views, always bumping into someone you know, late afternoons drinking Rose on the beach, my yachting adventures, people watching at the Café de Paris… (Read my blog to find out more!)

                        Favourite designers?

Gosh we really could be here all day; Victoria Beckham, Rag & Bone, Tom Ford, Zara, Victoria’s Secret, Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Casadei, Ashish, Ralph & Russo, Missoni, Tibi, Herve Leger, Maje… There are so many more I really am quite open minded when it comes to fashion so it would be impossible to put all my favourites into a list…

                          Your best fashion buy?

My Christian Louboutin black suede ankle boots, I have worn them so many times and they go beautifully with any outfit, they are high but remain feminine and timeless. Also my French Connection nude metallic bandage dress, it looks exactly like an Herve Leger and hugs you in all the right places but only cost £140 from Harrods!

                           If you could go anywhere in the world, where? Why?

To the States with my boyfriend, he has never been and I have only been twice before but for very short periods of time, I would love to explore it further as I enjoyed myself thoroughly the first 2 times. Also China & Japan!

                         What is your favourite thing(s) to eat?

Reese’s Peanut Butter cups (we can’t get them in Monaco so I made my own recipe which you can find on my blog), avocados, strawberries, sushi, sole meunière, moules marinières, crab cakes and a good cheeseburger will do the trick.

                        You can’t leave the house without?

Lip gloss and my phone

Sophie In Monaco (obviously), The Daily Mail (for news & celebrity fashion), Facebook, Peace Love Shea, The Londoner, Le Fashion Monster, Five Five Fabulous…

                           If your life could be a film, which would it be?

My mother shouted out “Sleeping Beauty” when I read this aloud because I like to sleep a lot in the mornings but I would rather go with something like “Grease”, one of my all-time favourite films and everyone’s guilty pleasure. From Sandy’s skin-tight black pants to the Pink Ladies silk coats and the guys in their leather jackets it really does give you inspiration and make you want to get up and dance!

I flew to Frankfurt this morning especially for Sheaffer’s 100th Birthday celebration, a bit of an early start but arriving to a white blanket of snow was quite lovely and almost refreshing.

I have had several chances to practice my German and nearly got dropped off at the wrong end of the city because of it, but lets not talk about that…

Had to run out to do some errands so threw on a cool leather jacket, my comfortable wedge boots and dashed out the door. A little cold… not quite sure how I am going to cope over the next couple of weeks with upcoming trips to Germany this weekend and Switzerland the next, I might need some serious help with my packing!

I have found that the most difficult items to pack are footwear and coats, I always like to go with the more “fashionable” pieces but when you find yourself with a pair of wedge boots on black ice you know you have made the wrong decision… I will try to pack my suitcase for Switzerland incorporating comfort not style, so we will have to see how that goes! There is no happiness in being cold after all.

Since Monaco is lovely pretty much all year round (that is why most of us live here), even in Winter when it isn’t raining you can get away with wearing outfits like this:

It is important as a woman to pamper yourself as often as possible so that every time you leave the house you are feeling happy, confident and the best that you can possibly be, you never know what the day will bring!

I have never used Essie products before so I was excited to try out this new one from my Christmas stocking. Applying a dark burgundy red colour by Chanel in 18 Rouge Noir find here – I let it dry and then applied a 2nd coat – Let it dry and then applied Essie Luxeffects Set in Stones to my ring fingers (I have tried to find this online but since it is that amazing it seems to be sold out everywhere! I could only find it here and here on US websites).

I love the effect this glitter nail polish creates, all the sparkles are different sizes so it has an almost galaxy appearance.

 How badly do you want to see what is inside my handbag? I am thinking of filming this over the next few days…
