The 23rd annual Monaco Yacht Show is not one to be missed, with over 100 yachts floating side by side in the Monaco marina, each one polished to perfection by its crew and ready for 4 days ahead of welcoming brokers and potential buyers on board.
I have always been passionate about boats big and small so its no surprise that this is one of my favourite events held in my hometown. Peering out from the balcony everyday watching them all be lined up like ducks in a row and they just get bigger every year, one of this years most intriguing arrivals just because of its sheer size was “Quattroelle“, a brand new 86 metre Lurssen with 6 decks and enormous entertainment spaces…

Standing on the sundeck of Mondomarine “Nameless”
This stunning crocodile leather handbag on board “Nameless” is by Stefano Ricci in Florence and retails at over €100,000 with 21kts of Diamonds encrusted in the handles and on the clasp.
I had my eye on “Galactica Star” a new and technologically groundbreaking 65 metre Heesen. I know that Beyonce would agree as she had chartered this yacht this past Summer in St Tropez and HSH Prince Albert II awarded her the “2013 MYS Baccarat Prix du Design” upon his visit on board during the show.
Any guesses as to what this funny bubble contraption is???

The show has a great atmosphere and I really recommend visiting it if you can next year, the tickets are expensive because of the quality of the show but you can always try and ask a yacht broker prior to give you a day pass invitation or if like me you wish to write about it on your blogs as well as visit it then apply for press accreditation for the 4 days!
