If you follow me on instagram you will have seen that I have been away in Switzerland this last week freezing my booty off!

You may also know that once a year I fly up to Switzerland with Diego to this little village called Villars high up in the Swiss Alps with its own ski resort and breathtaking surrounding views. It snowed pretty much the entire week except the last 2 days where I got the camera out and got a little snap happy. I got to see my favourite little beagle Troy and annoyed him no end with kisses, poor thing is probably delighted to be rid of me!

I always find packing for Winter holidays a struggle and just about made the silly Easy-jet 20kg weight limit by the skin of my teeth… I took my new Alpaca with me, far too many boots, various fur outerwear, winter coats and ski stuff so packing light was definitely out of the question!

Waking up at the crack of dawn to blizzard snowstorms is not my ideal motivation to get out of bed first thing so it was difficult but we tried to take advantage of the skiing whilst we were there and managed 3 ski sessions, 2 of which turned out to be sunny once at the peak thank goodness. I got the handy camera out on a couple of occasions to film some of the descents and mountainous views so I will put together a little clip to show you how beautiful this area is later this week.

Some days we ventured out of the snow fall and down to the valley for some shopping and other days were spent eating delicious Swiss chocolate, drinking wine and sprawled in front of the fireplace, I truly need one of these in my life!
