I had a bit of a home spa day today, between emails, blog updates and the odd telephone call I managed to fit in a hair mask, cleansing facial and body scrub followed by a quick mani pedi. Even in Winter I believe it is essential to look after yourself as though you were stepping out onto the beach in a bikini. Especially during the dry Winter months your body needs that extra bit of moisturizer and care.

It is important as a woman to pamper yourself as often as possible so that every time you leave the house you are feeling happy, confident and the best that you can possibly be, you never know what the day will bring!

I have never used Essie products before so I was excited to try out this new one from my Christmas stocking. Applying a dark burgundy red colour by Chanel in 18 Rouge Noir find here – I let it dry and then applied a 2nd coat – Let it dry and then applied Essie Luxeffects Set in Stones to my ring fingers (I have tried to find this online but since it is that amazing it seems to be sold out everywhere! I could only find it here and here on US websites).

Nail Polish Collage Essie VS Chanel

I love the effect this glitter nail polish creates, all the sparkles are different sizes so it has an almost galaxy appearance.

How badly do you want to see what is inside my handbag? I am thinking of filming this over the next few days…

I haven’t tried that OPI one it looks lovely & very similar to the Chanel I am wearing, I am loving the burgundy colour right now it goes with everything xxx

I have been a devout Essie lover for years. I have tried Chanel before as well, but I find Essie is (obviously) much more affordable and easier to get here in Canada. I swear by this brand, and I’m a strong believe that it is much better than O.P.I. Although, I still but it all the time because the colours are amazing! XO
