I was lucky enough to meet the lovely AZ Araujo during New York Fashion Week in September 2012 and had the pleasure of walking in his Runway show at The Empire hotel you can read about my experience here. I also did a photo shoot in front of Lincoln Centre wearing his beautiful swimwear here and in Times Square with Adriana de Moura here.

I adore the brightness of the colours and patterns used in his new collection, the material he uses has the most luxuriously silky feeling and you can feel the quality and effort that has been put into the swimwear. Each piece I wore exuded femininity but with a sexy and modern twist. Definitely one to watch!

A little about AZ the talented swimwear designer

Originally from a small town in Brazil, AZ decided to spread his wings and move to New York City ten years ago to discover fashion on a much grander scale. While working in several fashion venues and fashion productions throughout the city, AZ felt it was time to start AZ Araujo the brand. In 2008, AZ launched AZ Araujo swimwear and resort fashion.

The AZ Araujo collection combines the sexiness of Brazil with the chic modern presence of the New York consumer. AZ focuses part of the collection on swimwear mastering the Brazilian cut and feel, and round out the collection with ready-to-wear beachwear. The aim is to look outside of the box and to keep swimwear interesting and versatile with a few separates, dresses, and accessories to compliment the multi-faceted lifestyle of today’s consumer.
