New Years resolutions are the perfect occasion to reflect on the past year, what you want to change or better and act on it.

I have a couple of New Years resolutions for 2013, I have never been one of those people that can keep to them 100% but the ones I have come up with this year will not be the usual “I will give up chocolate…shopping…etc” because I know I will not keep to those! and they should be something that have meaning and comes from the heart.

A New Year’s resolution is a commitment that a person makes to one or more personal goals,

projects, or the reforming of a habit.

I think it is important to write them down somewhere you will not forget about them, so for me the blog is the perfect place, I can always refer back and regain my motivation and you will all be able to check if I can keep to them or not! ;)

 1) Stay fit & healthy

This is not only a New Year’s Resolution and I try to keep to it always but after the Christmas holidays it is always difficult to deny the delicious food that is around so the New Year following is the perfect way to trick your mind into getting back to your normal routine with a fresh start to eating properly again.

I will be using this to help me out this year!

2) Staying in Touch

Sometimes I find it so difficult to stay in touch with friends, with technology nowadays there should be no excuse from Facebook to Whatsapp it should be so easy but I find myself busy or distracted so often with day to day commitments that I forget to spend the 15 minutes a day keeping in touch with my closest friends dotted around the world and that makes me quite sad so this is a must this year.

 3) Video Vlogging

I always refer to YouTube for the latest makeup tutorials and style inspiration videos that it occurred to me why not incorporate the 2 and add future vlogs to my blog, you may have seen that I asked if you were interested in a “whats in my handbag” video :)

It does take time editing and filming but I would love to get into that this year

4) Learn Italian

I have felt so embarrassed in the past when people have asked what nationality my Italian boyfriend of 6 years is to learn that I do not speak the language yet! One of my A levels was Spanish and while I enjoyed learning it at school it was silly not to have chosen Italian instead seeing as Monaco is only 30 minutes away…

So I have put my foot down and started to learn it online here, it is a great little website still in BETA but teaches you through translation, it is free and you can listen to pronunciation and speak using a microphone too! I was quite surprised how much I understand, through my knowledge of French and Spanish there are many similarities :)

 5) Fashion & Outfit Posts

I have only recently been photographing some of my outfits and OOTD’s that seem to have proven quite popular, I have always written the blog as a more lifestyle outlet but after the number or requests I have received more recently asking for more outfit posts so how can I say no? ;)

 6) Enjoy the Little Things

Sometimes I feel so caught up with everything that is going on that I don’t appreciate the special moments that go by so quickly… It is important not to forget where you came from and what you are working towards, appreciate the people dear to you and always be nice to everyone you never know what surprises tomorrow may bring.
